How I handle your details
This site is a one-person consultancy's front door. It has two forms — booking a discovery call and sending a message — and this page explains exactly what they do with what you type. There are no cookies, no analytics, no ad or tracking scripts.
What is collected, and why
- Booking a call: your name, email address, the time you picked, your time zone, and an optional note about what you'd like to cover. Used to confirm the call, send the calendar invite and a reminder the day before, and let you reschedule or cancel through your private link.
- Sending a message: your name, email address, your message, and the optional project type, timeline, and budget range. Used only to read and reply to your inquiry.
- Technical: your IP address is held for about an hour to limit automated abuse of the forms, then discarded. If the bot check is switched on, Cloudflare Turnstile runs in your browser and issues a one-time token; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Where it goes
- The page is served by GitHub Pages through Cloudflare. The forms talk to a small application I run on Cloudflare Workers with its database (Cloudflare D1) in the western United States.
- Confirmation, reminder, and reply emails are sent through Resend, an email delivery service. Owner notifications go to my inbox at [email protected].
- Nothing you enter here is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train any model.
How long it is kept
- Messages are kept for 180 days, then closed.
- Booking records are kept so your reschedule/cancel link keeps working and so I have a record of who I spoke with.
- Sent email records are cleared from the delivery queue after 30 days.
Your choices
Email hello [at] otakar.dev to see what I hold about you or to have it deleted; I'll do it within a few business days. You can cancel a booked call at any time through the link in your confirmation email.
